About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality, the Bartender courteously and professionally serves all residents and their guests cocktails, wine, and drinks in the dining room and bar. The Bartender maintains inventory of all bar supplies, maintains a neat and orderly work area, and secures all liquor inventory and supplies. The Bartender completes order guides to ensure par levels are sufficient and submits to the Director of Hospitality requests for orders.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age (age requirement based on state laws)
• Six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Must be able to communicate in a positive way with people and provide outstanding customer service.
• Must successfully pass the (STATE) Liquor Control Board approved Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP)- Server/Seller training program
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards and fire and safety procedures
• In all Florida Companies, this position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing duties for the bar and lounge area to include stocking bar, maintaining sanitation guidelines, and setting up hors d' oeuvres for happy hour
• Prepares and courteously serves residents and guests beverages and closes out tickets as drinks are served.
• Ensures that all tickets have a correct signature on them
• Notify Dir. of Hospitality or any malfunctioning bar equipment
• The ability to work in a safe and alert manner
• The ability to take ownership for associate’s safety and the safety of the residents
• Must disclose any medication that might impair associate’s ability to perform the job safely or competently.

• Attends required community meetings and participates Life Enrichment activities when able
• Completes all required courses in adherence with HRA University
• Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis
• Becomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalent
• Becomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuation
• All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents
