Requirements

  • 2+ years direct bartending experience in an upscale, luxury or high volume bar/restaurant.
  • Extensive knowledge of Whiskey.
  • Flexible schedule required; must be able to work late nights, weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma required (must be 21+ years of age).
  • Superior communication skills with fluency in English required.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity in hands.
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Bartending coursework or certification is strongly preferred.
  • Bi-lingual abilities will be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate superior bartending skills and have deep and seasoned knowledge of craft cocktails, liquors, beers, wines, whiskeys, etc.
  • Present one's self with an uplifting and polished demeanor at all times.
  • Upsell to enhance guests' beverage experience.
  • Communicate well with guests.
  • Willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Possess basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
  • Operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
  • Use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
  • Remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
  • Operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.
  • Stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
