About The Position

General Purpose: Makes and serves guests delicious beverages in accordance with established standards and with hospitality and professionalism. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions. Essential Duties: ♦ Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintains inventory records. ♦ Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu ♦ Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content ♦ Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products. Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed. ♦ Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management. ♦ Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager. ♦ Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking. ♦ Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System. ♦ Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events. ♦ Serve catered parties from service or portable bars. ♦ On occasion will serve meals to guests. ♦ Incorporates safe work practices in job performance. ♦ Regular and reliable attendance. ♦ Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
  • Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors
  • Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)
