About The Position

The Bartender serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Satellite Music Hall. The role requires a personable, professional approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing event environment. Bartenders must maintain excellent attendance and be available for scheduled events as business needs require. The position pays $2.13 per hour and is tip eligible. The position will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

Six months or more of bartending experience.
Accurate cash-handling skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and long hours.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Bartending school preferred.

Responsibilities

Meet company standards for guest service, interaction with coworkers, and uniform standards.
Follow pre-shift notes and bar menus, providing service as described.
Serve alcoholic beverages according to proper procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
Learn the beer, wine, and spirits offered and suggestively upsell products to guests.
Pour drinks in accordance with company serving-size standards.
Check guest identification to verify the minimum age for purchasing alcoholic beverages.
Communicate a cutoff to guests when required and de-escalate situations involving intoxicated guests.
Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns; contact management or security when a guest is confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, and contact management when a matter exceeds the bartender’s decision-making authority.
Request additional products or restock products as needed.
Manage the bank issued for the bar.
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained.
Perform other assigned duties, which may include setting up and breaking down bar equipment and helping organize the cooler.
