About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused Bartender to join their team at the Hotel Indigo Cleveland Gateway. The Bartender will be responsible for delivering memorable hospitality to guests by building genuine connections and providing engaging service from arrival to departure. This role requires understanding guest needs, preparing beverages efficiently, and maintaining a quick pace with an engaging attitude. The position offers an opportunity for a driven individual to grow and learn within a world-class property.

Requirements

An engaging and welcoming personality
Current bartender's certification or appropriate license
Knowledgeable in the latest trends around mixology
Ability to be descriptive and sell
2-4 years of bartender experience
Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area.
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily.
Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu.
Be accurate in order taking, confirming all special requests.
Enhance guest experience by understanding bar details and engaging in conversation.
Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff.
Assist guests with concerns to guide them to a resolution.
Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation.
Requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits.
Maintain stock, cut, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure product quality.
Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard ingredient recipes and practicing portion control.
Input orders into a register at the point of sale and create a check for each guest.
Lock up and store all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank.
