Requirements

  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to all staff and guests, most of whom speak English.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Must have manual hand and finger dexterity for working as a Bartender.
  • Must have math aptitude and the ability to analyze data in order to handle financial reporting and cash handling duties.
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to twelve hours in length.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must have the ability to consistently arrive at work for all scheduled shifts as assigned.
  • Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate genuine concern for the success of each event and prioritize efforts accordingly.
  • Efficiently take drink orders from guests and wait staff, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and pouring policies.
  • Verify the identification and age of customers in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Accurately tally or ring-in drink prices, collect payments, and provide change with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy when managing reconciliation sheets and adhere to proper cash handling procedures.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks, ensuring both taste and presentation meet guest expectations.
  • Wash and sterilize glassware as needed to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize the bar area after catered events, following designated closing procedures.
  • Attend training sessions and consistently adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and legal regulations governing the safe service of alcohol.
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to discontinue alcohol service to guests when necessary.
  • Promptly alert the Head Bartender, Event Supervisor, or Banquet Manager of any potential issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with service staff to ensure optimal guest satisfaction.
  • Take pride in maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Exercise cost-consciousness in all aspects of work.
  • Diligently prioritize safety, promptly reporting any safety concerns to a manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
