About The Position

Join the team at Wamesit Lanes as a Bartender, where you'll do more than just pour drinks—you’ll be a key part of creating the energy, fun, and hospitality that keeps guests coming back. Whether you’re mixing drinks in Firewater Tavern, working a private event, or serving up smiles during bowling league nights, your role is vital to our guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous Bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you enjoy interacting with people!
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage priorities effectively during busy shifts.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to being part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food allergies and safe food handling practices (we’ll train you if needed).
  • Comfortable standing and walking for long periods, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Familiarity with POS systems.
  • A genuine desire to create memorable guest experiences—every time.
  • Employment subject to successfully completing a Background Check and/or CORI Screening.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding guest service with enthusiasm, professionalism, and personality.
  • Prepare and serve beverages efficiently and accurately according to standardized recipes and timing expectations.
  • Be knowledgeable about our craft beer selection, wines, and liquors—and able to confidently guide guests through their options.
  • Check IDs to ensure responsible alcohol service and maintain a safe environment by recognizing and reporting any concerning behavior.
  • Handle guest questions regarding drinks, food, allergies, availability, and Wamesit Lanes policies with confidence and clarity.
  • Maintain a clean, well-stocked bar, restocking supplies as needed and completing all opening and closing side work.
  • Assist Bar back when necessary with tapping kegs and monitoring par levels.
  • Stay aware of what’s happening across the entire venue to help ensure seamless service during high-volume times and events.
  • Participate in corporate and private events as needed.
  • Follow through with any additional tasks assigned by management.
