About The Position

At Phelan Family Brands we believe providing our team with a top-notch work environment and room for growth. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our customers while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will be crucial in creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our patrons.

Requirements

Through working knowledge of bartending to include bar terminology and the most common and essential drink recipes.
Understanding of the basic rules of bartending, including how to correctly “build a drink”, suggest wine and properly pour a draft beer.
Complete knowledge of this restaurant’s food and beverage menu.
Ability to consistently up sell alcohol and food items.
Able to use a computer to ring orders on a check.
Able to interact with guests in a consistent friendly and fast manner.
Able to accept different types of payment and make change.
Ability to correctly check identification of guests to ensure guests are at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages.
Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers.
Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
Properly prepare alcoholic beverages as per company spec recipes to guests and in a service bar application.
Sell and serve food and beverages to guests.
Deliver best in class service throughout the entire guest experience.
Maintain an outgoing and positive personality.
Serve the entire bar and/or bar tables while meeting or exceeding Best in Class Standards.
Consistently up-sell alcohol and food items.
Use a computer to ring orders on a check.
Interact with guests in a friendly and fast manner.
Accept different types of payment and make change.
Maintain specific side-work and ensure the total cleanliness and smooth operation of the bar area.
Clear and reset the bar and bar tables quickly.
Correctly check identification of guests to ensure guests are at least 21 years of age to consume alcoholic beverages.
Refuse to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age.
Observe guest's behavior, count number of drinks served, and inform management if a guest should not drive.
Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction.
Strive to exceed guest expectations.
Report to work in a neat and clean uniform.
Communicate with Managers to inform them of any unhappy guest.
Take and fill to-go orders, and check for accuracy if applicable.
