The successful candidate must be able to lead, and be a role model for all operating standards and systems. Requirements

  • The willingness to learn in a team environment while striving to exceed Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
  • Previous experience in a fast paced bar and fine dining or high-end restaurant setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of food, wine, beer, cocktails, port, scotch and other spirits.
  • An appreciation for detail and exceptional guest service.
  • Professionalism and positive attitude.
  • A calm, polite and composed demeanor.
  • A valid Serving It Right Certification.
  • A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of The Pointe Restaurant and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole.
  • Self-motivation in learning extensively about wines and spirits.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards is delivered at all times.
  • Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest special requests.
  • Be responsible for the service of guests seated at the bar and preparation of beverages for In-Room Dining orders.
  • Have knowledge of Silverware Point of Sale system.
  • Have thorough knowledge of cocktails and ability to develop new recipes around a creative cocktail program.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Bar.
  • Be responsible for inventory control & ordering.
  • Assist with Wine Cellar organization.
  • Work in a team environment and assist in The Pointe Restaurant as required.
  • Balance end of day financial transactions.
