About The Position

The Bartender ensures customer and server drink orders are prepared in a timely manner according to established guidelines while maintaining bar cleanliness standards. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class guest service and ensures a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience for restaurant patrons. The Bartender functions as the location’s expert on bar systems, recipes, procedures, and knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer served. They complete all training requirements, greet bar guests promptly, and use suggestive selling techniques. The Bartender records beverage orders, enters them into the computer system, prepares drinks according to established guidelines, and delivers them to the guest. They monitor guest’s drinks to anticipate re-order requests, collect monies owed, perform guest check accountability procedures, maintain a balanced bar drawer, and perform tip declaration activities. Additionally, they prepare and complete orders for Servers, wash bar service ware, and set up, clean, stock, and maintain the bar area and bar cooler. The role may also involve performing Server responsibilities as needed, handling ‘To Go’ and Associate food orders, and performing Inventory activities as scheduled. A key responsibility is understanding and executing procedures for verifying a guest's ability to legally purchase and consume alcohol and knowing how to prevent a guest from over-indulging.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED preferred.
At least one year of experience working as a barista, bartender, and/or food preparation.
Experience in and passion for consumer service.
Willingness to learn new skills and be a team player.
An attitude of flexibility and mindfulness about the team approach.
Delivering quality beverages consistently and according to shop standards.
Ability to handle all required tasks around handling cash register.
Learn all menus and is able to communicate all food and beverage offerings.
Clean and clear service areas.
Perform correct POS transactions, closing duties and accounting procedures as required.
Ability and desire to obey all local, state, and federal laws.
Ability to memorize and become knowledgeable of menu items.
