About The Position

Wm. Mulherin’s Sons is a wood-fired Italian restaurant housed in a restored 19th-century whiskey blending and bottling facility in the heart of Fishtown. The space blends historic character with modern craftsmanship — original brick, timber beams, and industrial details paired with thoughtful design, intimate lighting, and a warm, lived-in feel. Requirements

Previous bartending and/or serving experience in a high-volume or elevated dining environment
Strong cocktail, wine, and spirits knowledge (or willingness to learn)
Excellent communication, multitasking, and guest-engagement skills
Ability to stay calm, organized, and upbeat during busy service
A collaborative mindset and genuine passion for hospitality
Must have weekend availability
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

Provide warm, attentive, and intuitive service that reflects the Mulherin’s guest experience
Cross-train and work seamlessly as both a bartender and server depending on business needs
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and service station
Guide guests through menu offerings, including wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, and seasonal dishes
Collaborate with the FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service flow
Uphold all safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
Support opening, closing, and shift-change procedures
Contribute to a positive, professional, and inclusive team culture
