Requirements

  • Prior bartending and serving experience required.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, and on weekends and holidays.
  • The ability to provide an excellent level of customer service, even in stressful situations.
  • Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
  • Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
  • Standing and Walking: Remaining on your feet for extended periods, often up to 10 hours, to attend to guests and manage service areas.
  • Stair Navigation: Moving between different levels of the establishment, which may involve climbing and descending stairs.
  • Bending and Squatting: Reaching down to set or clear tables, retrieve items from lower shelves, or assist guests.
  • Lifting: Carrying trays, dishes, or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced role.
  • Must be comfortable working across a large resort property involving a significant amount of walking and transporting supplies.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in challenging weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Large scale event experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work assignments will vary between event bartending, serving, and set-up.
  • May occasionally be assigned to work in our restaurant or stand-alone bar.
  • Ensures safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
  • Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
  • Coordinates the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests.
  • Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature.
  • Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
  • Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
  • Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged, and following through on all requests.
  • Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that needs repair immediately and that the work area is clean and orderly.
  • Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized.
  • Follows all appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Advises guests, clients and team members on matters relating to food and beverage offerings.
  • Assists in all areas of service and production including hosting, bussing, cleaning and dishwashing.
  • Ensures all inventory needs are communicated to your Food and Beverage Manager before the items have run out.
  • Prepares and maintains par levels for condiments & beverages needed throughout the day.
  • Ensures all perishable opened items are dated and labeled.
  • Ensures that all Par levels are maintained.
  • As needed, support other F&B departments including Outlets & Banquets.
  • Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests.
  • Performs other tasks and responsibilities as directed by management.
