Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year of previous bartending experience in a high-volume or hospitality-focused environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and team members
  • Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions and inventory-related tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments
  • Thorough understanding of company and departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Positive and energetic disposition with a genuine enthusiasm for creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Working knowledge of the MICROS point-of-sale system or similar platforms
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and manuals in English
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management
  • Capable of conveying information clearly and professionally in high-pressure or fast-paced situations
  • Able to understand and respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with courtesy and accuracy
  • Must be able to document incidents, complete reports, and follow written instructions precisely
  • Proficiency in communicating policies, procedures, and expectations to team members

  • Visual acuity required, including close vision, color differentiation, and peripheral awareness
  • Ability to lift and move: Up to 30 lbs regularly, Up to 50 lbs frequently, Up to 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance or equipment as needed)
  • Must be able to push, pull, bend, twist, stoop, crouch, kneel, and maintain balance in various work environments, including confined or crowded spaces
  • May be required to navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently in a dynamic and guest-facing setting

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process register transactions in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain proper par stock levels and ensure bar inventory is organized and replenished as needed
  • Demonstrate full knowledge of laws and regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages, as outlined by the Beverage Department
  • Set up and break down the bar area, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service
  • Assist in training and mentoring new bartenders as directed by management
  • Stay informed about hotel events and operating hours of all food and beverage outlets to provide accurate guest information
  • Consistently pour up to 240 drinks per hour while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow specialty drink recipes as provided by the Beverage Manager
  • Prepare and garnish all cocktails served from the bar
  • Maintain accurate accountability for all monetary transactions, including cash banks and slot banks exceeding $1,000
  • Handle comps, room charges, credit cards, officer’s checks, and coupons in accordance with established procedures
  • Complete cash turn-in sheets, voids, and other financial documentation accurately and distribute appropriately
  • Ensure the bar area remains safe, clean, and sanitary at all times
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members
