About The Position

The Barrel Manufacturing Technician position is an entry-level role responsible for operating, milling, and drilling machines, grinders, and lathes in our machine shop. This role involves loading/unloading CNC equipment, maintaining part quality by recording measured dimensions, and ensuring the continuous operation of various CNC equipment. It requires attention to detail, precision, and the ability to diligently follow work instructions.

Requirements

• Mechanically Inclined
• Driven to learn a skilled trade
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Ability to be on your feet for the length of your shift
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to follow procedures and directions with minimal instruction
• Able to work overtime as needed
• Team player

Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC mills and lathes
• Maintain part quality
• Keep work area & machines clean and organized
• Change out damaged/worn tools as necessary to maintain part quality
• Accurately record production numbers by clocking in and out of Work Orders
• Check output for quality assurance and document or discard defects
• Identify need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain a safe and clean workstation
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
