Assistant - Barn Inventory (York, SC)
About The Position
The Barn Inventory Assistant is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to support production schedules and operational efficiency. This role ensures timely availability of raw materials while minimizing waste and optimizing storage. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with inventory management systems. This role will also be subject to other duties as assigned including but not limited to production, task, shipping, and horticultural departmental work. Required to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of company’s production raw material product type.
- 1+ years of experience in inventory management, production planning, or related field.
- Experience working with ERP inventory systems.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials within each production area
- Coordinate with production planning and inventory teams to ensure materials are available for scheduled production runs.
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Run reports from the system to manage upcoming raw material needs as well as cadenced inventory returns area.
- Perform quality control procedures on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Identify and resolve inventory issues that could impact production timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Assist in implementing inventory control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
