About The Position

As a Barista, you prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other menu items using established recipes and procedures, maintaining consistent quality and presentation throughout the day. You organize and maintain a clean, safe work area, restock supplies, and keep equipment and service areas ready for use. You work with team members to maintain smooth workflow, particularly during busy periods. You also greet customers, take orders, answer questions, and provide friendly, helpful service to create a positive customer experience. The position requires following food safety and sanitation practices and safely operating beverage-preparation equipment. Employees must comply with Company, Division, and Store policies and applicable laws; duties and skills may vary by store.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Provide friendly, timely, and helpful customer service and respond to customer requests and questions.
• Familiarity with preparing coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and related products using established methods.
• Follow recipes and procedures accurately to maintain quality and consistency.
• Prioritize tasks, manage multiple orders, and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Familiarity with safe food and beverage handling, sanitation practices, and safety guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing service demands.
• Ability to safely operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment according to established guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, and work in varying temperature environments.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
