Located in the heart of San Diego, we serve high-quality coffee, tea, and fresh bites in an environment that uplifts and inspires. We’re seeking a driven and passionate Coffee Shop Manager to help lead our team and grow with us. As a Barista, you play a crucial role in creating a positive customer experience in our coffee shop. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
Positive attitude with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role
Knowledge of different coffee brewing techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and preparation
Ability to handle cash transactions and use POS systems
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Obtaining a food handler's permit
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Team player with a positive and friendly attitude

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and equipment operation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Craft espresso-based drinks and other menu items with precision and consistency.
Operate coffee machines and grinders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
Take customer orders accurately and handle transactions using the point-of-sale system.
Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers.
Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe workspace.
Collaborate with team members to support smooth daily operations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
