About The Position
The Lakefront, Anchorage hotel (formerly the Millennium Hotel) is recruiting for full time seasonal, Barista to join our team. At the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, we strive to deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Spenard, one mile from Anchorage International Airport and four miles from downtown Anchorage, the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the many wonders Alaska has to offer. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel boasts 248 rooms and three outstanding food and beverage outlets. The role of the barista is to create a memorable experience for our guests by providing each customer with prompt service, quality beverages and products, while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment with a positive attitude.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of beverage preparation preferred.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures to pre-check order and close out the check.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Work well under pressure.
- Have patience, tact and diplomacy.
- Is consistently at work and on time.
- Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy.
- Perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
- Be professional in all interactions with guests and associates.

- Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning standards.
- Follows cash handling procedures and cash register policies.
- Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
