About The Position

Responsible for the preparation of all Ice Cream, deserts and coffee drinks during an assigned shift, in accordance with company specifications and standards. This role involves preparing Ice Cream, deserts and coffee, handling customer payments, taking and filling orders, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. The Barista also handles customer complaints and participates as a team member to ensure efficient operation and high standards of customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Frequently required to lift up to 25 lb., and occasionally required to lift up to 50 lb.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED
• Experience in a café or customer service oriented business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing Ice Cream, deserts and coffee in accordance with established recipes.
• Receiving payment for coffee, Ice Cream and deserts from Customers in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Servicing customers by taking and filling all food and drink orders.
• Following all recipes and control procedures.
• Maintaining a consistent and regular attendance record.
• Handling any Customer complaints and resolving them quickly and courteously.
• Participating as a team member with pertinent company Employees in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Customer Services.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.
• Taking and maintaining Temperature logs.
