About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Full-Time Barista to join their team. This role involves preparing various food and drink items, performing all café functions, maintaining knowledge of recipes, meeting production deadlines, following food safety guidelines, managing stocking and cleaning schedules, and maintaining an orderly workspace. The position requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, speak effectively to groups, interpret documents, and work an assigned schedule that may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Follow all safety procedures and perform job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.

Responsibilities

Prepare different types of food, drinks, and ingredients, including candy, baked goods, and fudge, for sale to customers
Perform all Barista and Café functions, which may include food case, barista, baked goods, fudge, and other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Supervisor
Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods
Meet deadlines for fudge production and customer requests
Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Café registers
Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening and closing procedures
Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas.
Must be able to perform repetitive fudge production processes, which include stirring, pulling, and cutting
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
