What you will have the opportunity to do: Come join the OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark team! We are currently looking to hire a Barista to support our food and beverage operations. The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, specialty beverages, and grab-and-go food items while providing exceptional guest service. This role includes accurately preparing beverages, processing transactions including cash, credit card, and room charges through the POS system, completing side work and opening/closing duties, and maintaining knowledge of the resort and local events to assist with guest inquiries. Above all, the Barista must provide exceptional service to every guest, every time. All applicants are subject to background check and drug screening. Position Summary At OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark, our Baristas play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through high-quality beverage preparation and warm, engaging service. This role is responsible for crafting coffee and specialty beverages, preparing grab-and-go items, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid State of Oklahoma ABLE License (or ability to obtain prior to start date) required
  • Basic math skills and experience handling transactions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Previous barista or coffee shop experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work early morning shifts (including a start time as early as 5:30 AM), weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other specialty drinks in accordance with brand standards
  • Accurately prepare and present grab-and-go food items
  • Provide exceptional guest service to every guest, every time
  • Process transactions including cash, credit card, and room charges using POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and work areas
  • Complete opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned
  • Maintain working knowledge of resort amenities, outlets, and local events to assist guests
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
