About The Position

The Barista position at The Provision Café, located within Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, focuses on providing excellent customer service and quality products in a Christ-centered, friendly, upbeat, and clean environment. Employees are encouraged to prioritize their spiritual growth through daily time with Jesus Christ, including prayer, Bible study, and Christian discipleship. The role emphasizes maintaining a strong work-life balance and fostering a spirit of teamwork, flexibility, and quality in all daily tasks. The Barista will also support the Senior Pastor and other church staff.

Requirements

Promptly welcomes and connects with every customer.
Performs all duties according to The Provision Café standards for beverage prep, safe food handling, workplace safety and proper cash handling.
Offers assistance to team members without hesitation.
Discovers customer needs and seeks to provide excellent service.

Nice To Haves

Barista experience using a semi-automatic espresso machine.
Food Service experience.
ServSafe certification.

Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, offering to help, explaining menu and options, and accurately take orders.
Properly and promptly prepare food and beverages in accordance with The Provision Café standards.
Clearly communicate knowledge about daily menu availability and pricing, ingredients and preparation techniques for all food and beverages served.
Perform cleaning tasks following health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist in general organization and daily operations of all areas associated with The Provision Café.
Replenish supplies as required.
Ability to open/close The Provision Café.
Efficiently and accurately operate cash register.
Perform other duties as requested.
Support the Senior Pastor and all other church staff.
