About The Position

The Roosevelt Market is hiring talented Baristas to join our family! Do you want to be part of a fun, dynamic, and growing hospitality group? Join us at the hippest spot in town. The Barista position at the Roosevelt Market also includes responsibilities as Counter Service Staff. In addition to crafting coffee drinks, you'll be involved in assembling sandwiches and salads as well as taking customer orders at the counter. A Barista at The Roosevelt Market will succeed at supporting the entire team by maintaining high standards throughout the restaurant and being invested in our Core Values: Be Clear, Be Caring, Be Professional, Be Honest, Hold the Standard.

Requirements

MUST be 19 and older, with a TIPS certification for alcohol service as a cashier
LOVE for the restaurant industry
Ability to follow detailed directions
Ability to follow standard restaurant procedures
Ability to prepare food according to specifications
Ability to maintain standards in food and beverage quality
Ability to safely utilize a variety of kitchen tools and machinery
Ability to handle cash, credit, and gift card transactions with accuracy
Ability to serve all guests to high standards in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be highly organized
Ability to clean and maintain a safe work environment
Ability to uphold company policies
Ability to contribute to a fun and lively atmosphere

Responsibilities

Welcome guests warmly by smiling and making eye contact
Provide outstanding hospitality and service to all guests
Maintain solid product knowledge to answer questions and make order suggestions
Complete daily prep tasks given
Set up and maintain a clean workstation and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Take food orders, enter order information into the point-of-sale terminal, and process payments accurately
Constantly monitor and maintain food standards for recipe production, appearance, correctness, quality, and safety
Handle guest concerns and special requests by listening; informing a manager; and helping to resolve issues
Constantly move throughout the kitchen and market
Assist with bussing and resetting tables
Operate a variety of kitchen equipment and tools
Assist with every facet of front of the house procedures to ensure an outstanding guest experience
Assist in stocking, dish upkeep, and general cleaning
Take out trash and boxes
Support team members including leadership
Execute effective communication skills
Exude positive attitude under stress
Contribute to a fun and professional work environment
Ability to execute follow-through
