About The Position

Essential functions include portraying a positive attitude, understanding and representing the core values of Apache Casino Hotel, and living the mission of always providing exceptional service. The Barista will prepare and serve brewed coffee and mixed coffee drinks like cappuccino and espresso, and kiosk food items according to established recipes and procedures. They will retrieve, prepare, and stock coffee kiosk food items, ensuring the kiosk area is maintained in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner. Responsibilities also include accepting payments, demonstrating an upbeat and outgoing demeanor, and performing other related duties as assigned. Team members must understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program. Regular attendance is required, and due to the nature of the hospitality/casino industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, events, and peak seasons. There is a reasonable expectation of being scheduled on duty and/or “on-call” during these times.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Six months’ previous experience working in the beverage service industry, with preference to barista experience
Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely prepare and serve coffee beverages in accordance with internal policies and standards, and to work with point-of-sale systems, dispensing systems, credit card/Player’s Club card systems, with knowledge in food and beverage sanitation, and cash control practices and protocol
Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Pass a background check
Pass a drug-screening test
Obtain an Oklahoma food handler card

Retrieve, prepare and stock coffee kiosk food items
Ensure kiosk area is maintained in a neat, clean, and sanitary manner using approved cleaning agents, sanitation regulations and department procedures
Accept cash, credit cards, or complimentary vouchers as payment
Demonstrate an upbeat and outgoing demeanor while on duty
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by reporting supervisor, including cross training
Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
Regular attendance is required.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/casino industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of Apache Casino Hotel.
We are busiest during weekends and holidays, events, and peak seasons as they occur.
There is a reasonable expectation you will be scheduled on duty and/or “on-call” during any of these times.
Adhere to and act in accordance with all casino policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards may apply departmentally based on uniform requirements). Where uniforms are required, they must be clean and pressed at the beginning of each shift

Competency to follow procedures and ensure accuracy, carefully monitoring processes and concentrating on routine work details
