This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas. Responsibilities include inputting orders into the cash register system, collecting payment, taking orders, preparing food and coffee beverages, and ensuring appliances are turned on/off appropriately. The barista will also bus coffee cart areas and tables, clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day, and obtain the necessary change for expected business levels. Additionally, the role involves counting the bank at the end of the shift, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, dropping off receipts, and securing the bank. The position requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing safety training. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards are also key aspects of the role. The barista will anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues to achieve team goals. This role also involves reading and visually verifying information, inspecting tools and equipment, and performing physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to move through confined or elevated spaces, up and down stairs, and perform reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping motions are necessary. Other reasonable duties may be requested by supervisors.
