About The Position

Sodexo is looking for a Barista to join their dynamic team. This is a part-time, permanent role offering a great team environment, work/life balance, and the opportunity to prepare appealing beverages for consumers. The position is located in downtown Vancouver, accessible via public transportation. All employees will require background check clearance. The hourly rate is $23.30.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a Barista
• Excellent customer service skills
• Meet the minimum age requirement to work in the province or territory where the job is located

• Knowledge of food preparation
• Knowledge of sanitation standards
• Knowledge of inventory control systems
• May be enrolled in a secondary educational institution or working toward high school equivalency

Responsibilities

• Greet customers
• Take orders
• Mix and serve hot and/or cold beverages
• Arrange coffee-bar-cart supplies
• Ensure displays are attractive
• Maintain the bar-coffee-cart station in a sanitary manner
• Record all sales
• Collect money
• Operate a cash register
• Follow all cash-handling procedures
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by your manager
