About The Position

Our retail ecosystem combines curated global beauty products with personalized wellness services that nurture the mind, body, and soul. We are seeking an experienced and engaging Barista who will deliver a warm, elevated, and memorable in‑store experience through exceptional beverage service and proactive client engagement. Reporting to the Events and Visual Presentation Supervisor, the Barista plays a key role in positioning the bar as a dynamic and experiential touchpoint within the store. Beyond executing daily operations, this role focuses on building genuine connections with clients, confidently initiating interactions, supporting activations, and contributing to the overall energy and visibility of the space. This is a part‑time position with flexible scheduling, including mandatory weekend availability.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barista, or bar environment, with enough bar knowledge to prepare drinks confidently.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso preparation, milk steaming, latte art, and various brewing methods.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with clients in a personalized manner.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to delivering consistently high-quality beverages.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety standards related to food and beverage preparation.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and serve a wide variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Ensure consistent quality in beverage preparation, taste, and appearance, maintaining the highest standards of luxury and excellence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner, actively listening to their needs, assisting them in their beverage selections, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized coffee bar area, including brewing equipment, utensils, and service areas, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards.
  • Keep track of inventory and supplies, ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients, coffee beans, and other beverage-related items. Place orders as required.
  • Operate and maintain coffee brewing equipment, espresso machines, and other beverage equipment, troubleshooting minor issues and reporting major malfunctions to the appropriate channels.
  • Stay updated on current coffee and tea trends, including new brewing techniques, flavour profiles, and industry developments, to enhance customer experiences and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
  • Take a hands‑on and creative approach to maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal of the bar, contributing to a space that feels inviting, elevated, and engaging.
  • Support in‑store activations and events by demonstrating a natural sales mindset, confidently introducing the bar experience and enhancing brand storytelling.
  • Collaborate with store staff to create promotions and offerings that integrate coffee and beverage services with beauty products, enhancing the overall client experience.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, using the point-of-sale system and following cash-handling procedures.
  • During quieter periods, provide support on the sales floor when needed, contributing to a seamless client experience across the store.
  • Uphold a professional and polished appearance, adhering to the store’s dress code and grooming guidelines.
