About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas. Responsibilities include inputting orders into the cash register system, collecting payment, taking orders, recording them in the MICROS system, and preparing food and coffee beverages. The barista will ensure appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times, bus coffee cart areas and tables, and clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Obtaining the required change for expected business levels, counting the bank at the end of the shift, completing designated cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, dropping off receipts, and securing the bank are also key duties. The role also requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards are essential. The barista will anticipate and address guest needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communication skills, developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and adhering to quality expectations are important. The role involves reading and visually verifying information, visually inspecting tools and equipment, and performing tasks that require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. Physical requirements include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, moving through narrow or elevated spaces, moving up and down stairs, and reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by supervisors.

Responsibilities

Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer.
Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times.
Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day.
Obtain change required for expected business level.
Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
