About The Position

At LongStory Coffee, the barista is the heart of the business. In this role, you will be expected to take customer orders, prepare drinks and food, clean dishes, and open/close effectively. At a minimum, baristas should have a background in espresso and coffee preparation. This includes manually grinding, tamping, and pulling espresso shots, in addition to manually steaming and pouring milk with a basic understanding of temperature and milk foam preparation.

Requirements

Background in espresso and coffee preparation, including manually grinding, tamping, and pulling espresso shots.
Ability to manually steam and pour milk with a basic understanding of temperature and milk foam preparation.
Passion for coffee and customer service.
Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and stay efficient in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail when making drinks and following recipes.
Reliable, punctual, and a team player.

Nice To Haves

Previous barista or restaurant experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.

Responsibilities

Prepare & Serve Beverages: Craft high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
Customer Interaction: Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep workstations, equipment, and dining areas clean and stocked.
Stock & Inventory: Restock ingredients and supplies as needed.
Follow Health & Safety Standards: Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed.
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with coworkers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
