About The Position

This is a part-time Barista position where you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items to customers. You will welcome customers, educate them about the menu, prepare drinks according to recipes, and sell coffee-related equipment. Additionally, you will manage inventory, maintain equipment, ensure a safe and healthy work environment, and contribute to improving store processes and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items.
• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions.
• Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques.
• Sell coffee and coffee grinding/brewing equipment by explaining differences in coffee beans and preparation machines, and demonstrating equipment operation.
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply, stocking coffee brewing equipment, and maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies.
• Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, implementing changes, and maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
