About The Position
Carleton Dining Services is hiring full-time Baristas to join their team at Starbucks on the Carleton University campus. The Barista serves customers by preparing specialty beverages, assisting with food preparation, compiling orders, and receiving payment. This role offers a fun, fast-paced, and rewarding experience with opportunities for career growth and development.
Requirements
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Working with others in a team setting
- Must be able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
- The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the restaurant/coffee shop/food service industry is an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring speedy delivery of beverages and food orders
- Prepare espresso, coffee and tea specialty beverages
- Compile orders accurately and in a timely fashion
- Stock shelves and refrigerators
- Clean counters and tables, clear service areas and empty garbage
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Receive payment by cash, debit/credit card and campus card
- Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
- May perform other job duties as required
