About The Position
The Cashier/Barista is responsible for ensuring Florida State regulations and Orlando Science Center standards are met in coffee and food handling. This position is responsible for providing exceptional service to Orlando Science Center visitors and educating visitors on the history of coffee.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Some customer service and cash handling experience.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient with Point of Sales applications.
- Barista, customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable about all menu items and beverages served.
- Able to answer visitors’ questions regarding such with confidence and accuracy.
- Prepares all coffee drinks to specifications.
- Has complete knowledge and skill of operating/maintaining coffee equipment for daily use.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and sanitized work area.
- Maintains a high level of customer service with OSC Visitors and Members.
- Adheres to health and safety standards at all times.
- Able to effectively explain the “journey of coffee”.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
