About The Position

Creative Dining is hiring immediately for a full-time Barista at Calvin University. This role focuses on customer experience, product knowledge, and upholding safe and clean work practices. The Barista ensures smooth operations at the coffee shop by delivering fast, efficient, and friendly service.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of customer service or barista experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in a friendly, positive, and helpful manner.
• Prepare and present drinks and food according to established recipes and standards.
• Respond proactively to customer concerns and resolve issues when they arise.
• Operate cash registers, credit card machines, and other devices accurately.
• Ensure all transactions are processed properly and accurately during each shift.
• Share updates, goals, and concerns with staff and supervisors as needed.
• Stay current on coffee trends and suggest operational improvements.
• Assist in menu development and contribute creative ideas.
• Help with special events and promotions as assigned.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and tracking inventory.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
