About The Position

This role ensures the total operation and service meets standards, providing customers with prompt service, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation per Price Chopper standards through supervision of Baristas. The Associate assists the Food Service Manager with daily operating procedures, including quality Price Chopper operations, financials, and training of Barista associates.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Satisfactory Performance Reviews
• Basic Literacy
• Basic Computer Skills
• Strong Communication Skills
• 6-12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Consistently works to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Determines customer needs and makes suggestions for appropriate products.
• Responsible for sampling and suggestive selling. Ends each customer transaction with a “Thank You†.
• Assists Food Service Manager in hiring new associates.
• Coaches and trains new associates to Barista Certification.
• Responsible for self and directing Certified Barista associates to follow store, Price Chopper policies and procedures.
• Follows all health, safety, and food safety guidelines for all products.
• Assists customers in product selection.
• Maintains customer service area, including equipment, in a clean and appealing manner. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Demonstrates a "just say yes" behavior when taking care of customers.
• Prepares a variety of customer beverage orders to Price Chopper standards.
• Performs all cleaning tasks in accordance with schedules and cleaning standards.
• Follows all merchandising standards, stocking, and rotation.
• Assures all equipment maintenance is followed to procedure and schedule.
• Performs all cash handling and register policies and procedures and accountability.
