About The Position

This position involves completing opening and closing duties, which include setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, and locking doors. The role requires setting up, stocking, and maintaining work areas. Responsibilities include inputting orders into the cash register system, collecting payment, taking orders, recording them in the MICROS system, and preparing food and coffee beverages. The Barista will ensure appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times, bus coffee cart areas and tables, and clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day. Additionally, the role requires obtaining the necessary change for expected business levels, counting the bank at the end of the shift, completing designated cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, dropping off receipts, and securing the bank. The position also mandates adherence to all company and safety/security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protecting company assets, and welcoming guests according to company standards are also key. The role involves anticipating and addressing guest needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with appreciation. Communication should be clear and professional. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and ensuring adherence to quality expectations are essential. The job requires reading and visually verifying information, visually inspecting tools and equipment, and performing tasks that involve standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. It also includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, manipulating objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, moving through narrow or confined spaces, and moving up and down stairs or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also part of the job duties. Other reasonable job duties may be requested by Supervisors.

Responsibilities

Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer.
Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages.
Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times.
Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day.
Obtain change required for expected business level.
Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
