About The Position

At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating! We are seeking a Barista who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together while caring deeply about our brand. We want to work alongside someone who acts as an extension of our mission, values, and culture. The ideal Barista will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. The Barista is to provide guests with quality food and beverages and products, through proper steps of service and maintain a great work environment for our fellow hosts and vendors. The host will take and deliver accurate food and drink orders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Requires thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field
  • Requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of one year job-related experience
  • Must be able to obtain food handler certification
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles according to company policy. Must have valid driver’s license, proof of auto liability insurance and acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
  • Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Guests and Hosts using approved communication methods
  • Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects ahead of schedule, fostering open communication and mutual support to achieve shared goals
  • Able to comprehend instructions and retain information
  • Able to perform duties consistent with creating a safe and secure environment for hosts and guests

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes customers promptly with a professional and friendly attitude
  • Determines the needs and educate the customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions
  • Prepares and sells hot and cold beverages including coffee and espresso drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques
  • Sells a variety of prepared food items; using proper equipment to heat items when necessary
  • Stocks and presents food/beverage items to standard
  • Orders/requisitions food and supplies through lead/sous chef
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and federal health codes
  • Uses POS accurately. Handles cash and credit card transactions as directed
  • Participates in upsell strategies as directed by management
  • Participates in daily line ups
  • Practices service standards and current training throughout service
