About The Position

The NoMo SoHo Hotel is known for its panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline, modern guest rooms, local art displays, and a unique dining and beverage experience. NoMo SoHo is a boutique hotel, nestled in the heart of New York’s SoHo fashion, art, and shopping neighborhood. Known for offering a panoramic view of the Manhattan skyline, modern rooms, local art and a unique dining and beverage experience, NoMo SoHo seeks to deliver satisfaction to our guests. The Nomo SoHo Kitchen has a very popular weekend brunch and a handcrafted cocktail program. We are looking for a knowledgeable, people-oriented Barista to join our F&B team. This café is in our main guest lobby on the ground floor by the restaurant. Offering lattes, cappuccino, tea, soda, fresh cold-pressed juices, healthy shots, local craft beer, and wine.

Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of experience serving food in a restaurant
Food Handler Certification
Excellent communication skills,
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
A positive attitude towards providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

Taking and serving guest orders promptly and according to service standards set by the company.
Making coffee-related beverages and servicing grab & go items.
Answering guest questions about the selections.
Informing guests of food allergens in selections.
Operating the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
Performing side work duties.
