About The Position
The Barista greets guests, takes and accurately enters orders, processes payments, and serves hot, cold, and frozen beverages and food. The role follows recipes and portion-control practices, completes opening and closing checklists, and performs assigned cleaning tasks to meet health standards. Other duties may be assigned. The position pays $15.00 per hour plus tips, which could bring total pay to as much as $17.00 per hour with tips. Requirements
- Minimum six months of experience working in a food service environment.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders.
- Experience dealing with problems involving customer service.
- Basic mathematical skills for operating a cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, counting the bank, and preparing cash drops.
- Food handlers permit as required by law.
- Brand certification as required.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and use point-of-sale procedures to pre-check orders and close out checks.
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
- Receive customer payments and process change.
- Serve cold, frozen, and hot drinks and a variety of food items.
- Follow recipes and practice portion control when preparing, garnishing, and presenting items.
- Complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required.
- Perform assigned general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products to adhere to health standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
