Barista Trainer

As a Barista Trainer, you will coached and developed new and existing partners by delivering hands-on training, reinforcing standards, and promoting a culture of customer service excellence. I ensured team members were confident in beverage preparation, equipment operation, food safety, and store procedures while supporting daily café operations.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous cash handling experience preferred
- Previous experience as a barista preferred
- Basic math & counting skills required
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Must follow required dress code as assigned
- Able to read and communicate in English and able to follow recipes
- Complete Food Handling Certification as required
Responsibilities
- Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Model professionalism, teamwork, and leadership while supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Trained, coached, and mentored new baristas on Starbucks beverage recipes, operational procedures, and company standards.
- Assist store leadership with onboarding new partners and evaluating training effectiveness to support successful integration
- Demonstrated proper preparation techniques for handcrafted coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and food items to ensure consistency and quality
- Ensured compliance with Starbucks policies, food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
- Prepares and serve food items in line with location standards
- Count, organize and balance cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits
- Adheres to Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures
- Set up and breakdown coffee bar, stations or store including cleaning and sanitizing
- Assisted with inventory management, stocking, opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Other duties as assigned by management
