About The Position

Responsible for honoring each and every customer by providing excellent customer service. Barista is responsible for educating customers about our premium organic coffees and teas. A true professional that fulfills any additional duties needed. Displays a positive attitude at all times to ensure return of our customers who are the reason for our business.

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time
must be able to push and pull up to 40 pounds.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Reliable transportation and a working phone
Must be 18 years of age.
Maintains a valid Driver’s License and be insurable under company insurance provider/program

Nice To Haves

Some experience in making espresso drinks helpful but will train the right person
Preferred prior retail store experience of one (1) year

Responsibilities

Greets all customers with a friendly smile.
Initiates dialogue and develops rapport with customers by learning their names, favorite drinks and food items.
Generates customer satisfaction; responds appropriately to customer concerns.
Accurately processes transactions through the POS and counts back change to customers.
Answers the café’s telephone in a friendly manner using a professional greeting.
Sells and services baked goods and miscellaneous food items to customers.
Assists in the opening and/or closing of the café.
Assist with the baking, Food Prep and Catering
Provides top quality espresso shots for hot and cold beverages.
Communicates with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
Works with coworkers and management to effectively implement change.
Contributes to a positive work environment.
