About The Position

As a Barista/Counter Server, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, making coffee drinks, serving pizza, and handling food and beverages. Your role will involve ensuring accurate transaction records and providing excellent customer service. This position is located at Baked and Brewed/Tram Car Pizza at Snowbird Center and is a full-time, year-round role with varying schedules based on business needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Barista experience is a plus
• Great listening and speaking skills
• Food Handler Permit
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
• Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
• Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
• May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and to increase company revenues.
• Take orders and politely repeat them back to customer to ensure satisfaction is met.
• Address customer’s questions about menu items in a professional manner.
• Handle food and beverages that are requested by customer.
• Monitor and help manage the inventory of the kitchen and counter and make sure the food is stocked appropriately.
• Learn menus, be proficient in handling large sums of money and demonstrate ability to multi-task, e.g., ring several checks at once, serve several guests at once while maintaining interactions between other staff and guests.
• Assist with other restaurant positions as needed, including bussing/cleaning.
