As part of the Viceroy team, you’ll help bring our signature experiential hospitality to one of North America’s most iconic, year-round mountain destinations. The Barista / Cashier is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while preparing and serving coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and café offerings in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. This role is also responsible for accurately processing guest transactions, maintaining café presentation standards, and creating a warm, welcoming, and service-oriented guest experience aligned with Viceroy standards.

Requirements

  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements, including reaching, turning, and precision work.

  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Must be available to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and other café items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Accurately take guest orders and process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by engaging with guests in a friendly, professional, and personalized manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs and maintain a welcoming, luxury-level café experience throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during busy periods while ensuring efficiency and service consistency.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the café, service areas, equipment, and seating areas.
  • Restock food, beverage, paper products, and café supplies throughout the shift as needed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, specialty beverages, and daily features.
  • Assist with opening, closing, side work, and daily operational checklists.
  • Support additional food & beverage operations as business levels and operational needs require.
  • Communicate operational concerns, guest feedback, or product shortages to leadership promptly.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and departmental lineups.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, professional appearance, and grooming standards.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction through professionalism, attention to detail, and service-focused interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
