This position prepares beverages and supports meal service for residents and guests, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining and bistro/bar environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with sensitivity to residents’ diverse needs and abilities.
  • Demonstrated compassion, professionalism, and respect when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to build positive and professional working relationships.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to obtain TIPS or other required beverage service certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous food service experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or institutional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare beverages and garnishes for the bistro/bar.
  • Set and maintain dining room tables.
  • Take food orders and deliver service in a timely, organized, and courteous manner.
  • Anticipate resident needs and offer service options that enhance satisfaction.
  • Maintain all dining and bistro/bar areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition in accordance with infection control standards, including proper attire and hygiene practices.
  • Deliver food carts to designated areas and return carts to the kitchen.
  • Collect and dispose of trash and waste appropriately.
  • Clean dining areas, bistro/bar spaces, equipment, and workstations.
  • Wash bar glassware using approved procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
