About The Position

The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Bariatric Surgery practice and General Surgery care team. The PA/NP will work under specific accreditation standards in collaboration with an attending physician to develop and implement direct care for Bariatric Surgery patients. The position will be primarily clinic-based in the Williston office, with regularly scheduled shifts in the OR at both UVMMC’s Main Hospital in Burlington and the Fanny Allen Campus in Colchester.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years full time clinical PA/NP practice experience required.
• Master’s degree required.
• Current (or eligible) licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) from the VT State Board of Nursing or as a Physician Assistant (PA) from the VT State Board of Medical Practice.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate degree preferred.
• Familiarity and experience with robotic surgical procedures.
• High degree of independence and clinical autonomy.
