About The Position

This full-time hybrid position will be part of our Bariatric Surgery team. This position will work closely with an interdisciplinary team in a growing clinic to meet the needs of patients both before and after bariatric surgery. The RD will collaborate with other Bariatric Surgery RDs, as well as surgeons, an NP, nurse coordinators, and psychologists, to take care of patients and create and contribute to quality improvement projects. Strong clinical skills, as well as training in motivational interviewing and the intuitive eating approach are highly preferred. We are seeking a dynamic candidate who can balance knowledge of the clinical features of weight loss surgery with the empathetic approach needed to guide patients through pre-surgery nutrition counseling and post-surgery support. Ideal candidate will have a sincere desire to work in a team-based atmosphere, with abundant opportunities to partner with colleagues for research and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
Specialty certification when required
Two years of work experience in specialty preferred
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients in a designated specialty area to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
