Requirements

Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to +50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

Prior experience in production related work

Responsibilities

Operate all equipment associated with the barge unloading process: including drags and conveyors. While working on the barge, the unloader will use a ladder to climb walls that reach a height of approximately 6 feet
Operate computer programs needed to load/unload barges, trucks and skid steer
Hand writes tickets or use Stand Alone Scale Interface (SASI) if computer network goes down
Train and operate equipment associated with the Elevator process: including drags, conveyors, and truck dump. Load meal, oil and hull products into barges and trucks. Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily
Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect and analyze samples for several process areas
Obtain Shoreside Attendant Certification for loading oil barges
Enter confined spaces under proper permit conditions and supervision: including dust collectors, barges and bean tanks
Perform light maintenance, such as replacing valves, troubleshooting conveyors and pumps, etc. while safely using wrenches, air tools, hammers and various hand tools
Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operation
Understand and adhere to state and federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety. Follow all Cargill safety rules and regulations
Complete all housekeeping assignments, work to improve the condition of all departments, and work as a team member with a positive attitude
Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings
Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved
Assist other crush and plant personnel as needed, and will perform any other duty as requested by the production supervisor
