About The Position
The Bare Wire Operator performs functions that operate the Wire Mills to draw copper rods into various gage size basket wire as required to meet production schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Ability to operate machinery
Responsibilities
- Properly sets up and strings up the wire mills
- Operates the wire mills to draw copper and aluminum rods to the required dimensions at the proper speed and produce wire in various gages
- Stages and places coils, welding coils into coils in the take up
