Barback (Part-Time)
About The Position
The Barback is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down assigned bar locations. This role involves anticipating the needs of Bartenders to ensure timely and responsible service of snacks and beverages to guests, while always promoting a positive guest experience and superior customer service. The Barback assists in the day-to-day operations of the Sphere Food & Beverage department, providing fast, professional, and courteous service to bartenders. This role requires the ability to assist supervisors, transport product between the warehouse and bar locations, and know the location of all products. Additionally, the Barback is responsible for breaking down machinery such as popcorn machines, drink machines, and coolers, as well as setting up, stocking, maintaining, breaking down, and cleaning bar areas. This includes ensuring proper storage and presentation of liquor, garnish, glasses, and other products, and delivering ice. The Barback also helps maintain the warehouse area according to Sphere standards and Southern Nevada Department of Health Code, and provides information to patrons.
Requirements
- Prior barback experience.
- Ability to work rapidly and remain calm during peak periods.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment.

- LVMPD – Non-Gaming Work Card
Responsibilities
- Setting up, maintaining, and breaking down assigned bar locations.
- Anticipating the needs of Bartenders to ensure timely and responsible service of snacks and beverages.
- Promoting positive guest/client experience and superior customer service.
- Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Sphere Food & Beverage department.
- Providing fast, professional, and courteous service to all bartenders.
- Assisting supervisors and carrying product up and down stairs from the warehouse to bar locations.
- Knowing all bar positions and where all products are housed and ready to transport any/all product at any time.
- Breaking down machinery including, but not limited to popcorn machines, drink machines, and coolers.
- Setting up stock and maintaining bar areas including break down and cleanup of bar and bar area.
- Ensuring liquor, garnish, glasses, product, etc. are properly stored and presented; delivering and distributing ice accordingly.
- Maintaining warehouse area according to Sphere standards by following Southern Nevada Department of Health Code.
- Providing information to patrons and answering questions/inquiries regarding Sphere facility.
