About The Position

The Barback position is a full-time role at Indigo Sky Casino in Wyandotte, OK. The primary responsibilities include maintaining bar supplies, assisting bartenders, stocking beverages, and ensuring the cleanliness of bar areas. The role also involves operating the POS system, mixing and serving drinks, and handling gratuities when necessary. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform various duties as assigned. The work environment is within casino operations and may involve second-hand smoke, high noise levels, and bright/flashing lights. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Great customer service skills
• Above average oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service
• Problem solving capability
• Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain an Oklahoma liquor license
• Ability to maneuver in the casino
• Visual acuity to observe and react to handle customer questions and complaints
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for 7 1/2 hours per day
• Have good dexterity in fingers, to be able to hold and manipulate product or machinery
• Able to work in hot and cold temperature extremes
• Be able to lift up to 75lbs and push or pull a flatbed cart weighing up to 300lbs
• Must be able to stretch, bend, kneel, twist and reach
• Must be able to taste, feel, smell, see and be able to read, write and speak basic English

Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies needed for the bar and drink areas
• Replenish paper goods (i.e., cups, napkins, etc) at bars
• Assist bartenders in cleaning and maintaining bars
• Fill ice bins
• Stock bars with alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages (soda, juices, carbon dioxide)
• Maintain cleanliness of beer coolers and bars
• Sweep, mop and take out trash
• Operate POS system, mix and serve drinks and/or food, and receive gratuities when needed
• Any other duties as assigned
