As a Bar Back, you’ll support our bartenders and Food & Beverage team by keeping the bar stocked, organized, clean, and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role is perfect for someone who’s energetic, dependable, team-focused, and enjoys working in a lively restaurant, bar, or nightlife setting. You’ll help keep operations running smoothly while learning the ins and outs of hospitality and beverage service. Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant, bar, hospitality, food runner, bar back, or Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support bartenders and bar operations by restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies throughout shifts.
Maintain cleanliness and organization across bar areas, service stations, storage rooms, and guest-facing spaces.
Assist with bar setup, breakdown, opening duties, and closing side work.
Wash and polish glassware, restock inventory, and help maintain smooth beverage service during high-volume periods.
Remove empty bottles, trash, and used glassware while keeping work areas clean and safe.
Support restaurant, lounge, banquet, and event operations as needed.
Follow food safety procedures, sanitation standards, responsible alcohol service guidelines, and hotel operational policies.
Partner closely with Bartenders, Servers, Culinary teams, and Food & Beverage leadership to support exceptional guest experiences.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to leadership proactively.
Help create a positive, energetic, and team-oriented atmosphere aligned with Sonesta’s People People culture.
Any other duties as assigned.
